Judging guide

Now that you know the rules, it’s important your students have a guide as to how their entry will be judged. Please note that we would like to encourage students to be original in their approach to making their entries.

Web site entries:


  • • How much original content is on the site?
  • • Is the content interesting and informative?
  • • How well does the Web site teach the particular subject?
  • • Is the information easy to understand?
    Presentation
    • How well has the site been used as a presentation tool?
  • • Are there clear headings or titles?
  • • Is the layout well planned, uncluttered and clear?
  • • How creative is the site presentation?
    Mechanics
    • Are there any spelling or grammatical errors?
  • • Has all copyright and privacy information been adhered to?
  • • Do all pages, graphics, links and animations work?
  • • How quickly does the Web site load?
  • • Is navigation clear and precise throughout the site?
  • • Make sure your Web site is compatible with any operating system, Internet connection speed and Web browser.

    Animation/Digital Video entries:

    • Is the video easy to understand?
  • • Does it capture the interest of the audience?
  • • Is it informative? What does it say about its particular subject?
  • • How creative is it?
  • • Is the content original? Have all copyright laws been adhered to?

    Video Game Design entries:


    • Is the objective of the game clear?
  • • Is it easy for a beginner to play?
  • • Does it capture the interest of the audience?
  • • Is it informative? Is the game related to its topic?
  • • How creative is it?
  • • Is the content original? Have all copyright laws been adhered to?
  • • Do all graphics and animations work?

 

The judging panel will comprise of respected individuals from the Internet and education fields, and will be announced at the time of the winning entries.
